I’ve spent more than 25 years training and showing dogs.  Originally starting out with German Shepherds, I’ve finished many to their AKC conformation championship titles.   I’ve also trialed in herding, obedience and rally and have multiple High-In-Trial awards in both obedience and herding with German Shepherds.

Back in the mid-2000’s I fell in love with the Welsh Springer Spaniels and have since handled a number of these fine incredible dogs.

Today I spend most of my time caring and supporting our dogs and our breeding program.   I consider myself one of the luckiest of people because of all the wonderful dogs I’ve been so fortunate to be a part of.

Growing up, my parents raised collies.  I had my own dog and was very involved with our local 4-H club.  At the time, I only showed in performance.  My 4-H club had a very successful K-9 drill team, four man teams as well as individual obedience that I was a part of.  Ned and Betty Cummings of Wynfomeer Kennels were my 4-H leaders and bred Welsh Springer Spaniels.  They were professional handlers, and I began helping them at their kennel and at shows.  I fell in love with their Welshies.  In 1977, I got my first puppy from them, Wynfomeer’s Redhead.  She was my first breed champion.  I had my first bred by litter in 1980, and I was hooked!

I took a break from breeding and showing when I went to college and started my family.  I went back to Ned and Betty for my foundation bitch of my current line.  I have had many wonderful mentors over the years but none like the Cummings, who got me started in the breed.

I have had many top winning show dogs and have recently gotten back into the performance side of showing.  I hope to have top winning obedience dogs as well.  More than anything, I love all the wonderful pet families that have gotten puppies from me.  That is the biggest reward of raising this sweet, beautiful breed.

I began showing and breeding Welsh Springers through my mother, Kit Goodrich.  At just age 7, I showed my first dog.  I helped my mom at the show.  I’ll never forget when a nice man came up to me after I showed and told me what a wonderful job I did.  I was hooked.

Breeding these amazing dogs with my mom has taught me so much about the importance of health and temperament as well as structure.  I have expanded my love for showing and breeding dogs to become a professional all breed dog handler.  I have been professionally handling for about 12 years.  After I graduated high school and aged out of junior showmanship, I began handling dogs professionally.  I now live in Fort Collins with my husband Zach and daughter Raegan.

With all of my experience showing many different breeds, I truly believe Welsh Springers are the best breed.  I am passionate about breeding Welsh Springers.

I believe in breeding quality dogs who look the part and act the part.  I believe in breeding the healthiest dogs possible.  Everything I do in dogs is to further improve my breed in every way.

I consider myself one of the luckiest of people because of all the wonderful dogs I’ve been so fortunate to be a part of.    I cannot imagine my life without a Welsh fully entangled in everything I do.
